At the Monday, January 20 Special Council Meeting, Council awarded Don Mann Excavating the contract for the Estevan Utilities Project.

The District will be undertaking infrastructure upgrades along Estevan Ave from the Willows Beach Esplanade to Heron St, including work on a stretch of Lincoln Rd. This work includes:

• Pavement removal
• Subsurface trenching for utility replacement
• Road and sidewalk improvements, dependent on trenching

Anticipated start date: Late February/early March

Location

This is phase one of the project, and the work will take place on: 

• Estevan Ave. from Willows Beach to Heron St.
• Lincoln Road, from Estevan to Burdick Ave.
• Willows Beach Outfall (Summer 2025)

Please note that the next phase of this project, Estevan to Musgrave, is planned for a future date. 

What to expect

While these upgrades are essential to maintaining infrastructure, we understand that this will cause disruption to traffic flow on Estevan Ave. Crews will work to maintain access to residents throughout the project.
