Bi-weekly garbage, curbside organics and recycling collection is automatically provided for all residential property owners (excludes single family homes on private streets). This service is included on resident's utility bills and is noted on the utilities bill. The recycling programs in Oak Bay and throughout Greater Victoria are coordinated  by the Capital Regional District. 

Hazardous Materials should be disposed of appropriately, do not let dangerous materials go down the drain! There is a regional source control program in place.

Additional hazardous material and recycling is also provided through several 3rd-party organizations.

Hours of operation are:

• Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
• Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., excluding statutory holidays.  This additional service is free of charge.
• On busy days, vehicles may be turned away prior to closing. Depending on the number of vehicles, this may be as early as 1 ½ hours prior to closing.
• If a statutory holiday falls on a Saturday (e.g., if November 11 is a Saturday,) the depot will be closed that day, and will also be closed the following Monday.
