District of Oak Bay announces Director of Parks, Recreation and Culture

Oak Bay, B.C. – The District of Oak Bay is excited to announce Thomas Soulliere as the new Director of Parks, Recreation and Culture.

“Thomas brings experience and a reputation as a collaborative, enthusiastic, and accountable leader,” said Selina Williams, District of Oak Bay CAO.  He brings experience managing complex budgets and delivering major public infrastructure projects like parks, rec centres, housing, and childcare facilities.

“His leadership, energy, and commitment to community in Oak Bay will be key to growing our parks, recreation, and cultural services,” said Williams.

Soulliere was recently the Deputy City Manager for the City of Victoria and prior to that role, Director of Parks, Recreation and Facilities Management. He also brings experience leading Recreation Services for the City of Vancouver and Vancouver Parks Board. Throughout his career, Thomas has supported organizations to achieve their strategic goals and provide lasting impacts.

“I am excited to join the District of Oak Bay team and look forward to assisting staff and Council with meeting the service needs of the community”, said Soulliere.

Soulliere’s first day with the District will be Monday, May 5.
