The Oak Bay Recreation Centre offers convenient parking options in front of the building on Bee Street and at the end of Goldsmith Street. Our facilities include indoor tennis bubbles, ice arena, swimming pool area with sauna, steam room, hot tub, 25-metre pool and smaller warm pool, indoor sports field, weightroom, and the Sports View Lounge. We also collaborate closely with Oak Bay High School, providing programs at the Neighbourhood Learning Centre.

Join Oak Bay Recreation for an exciting skating experience! Explore our public skate schedule and enjoy lessons for all ages at the Oak Bay Recreation Centre Arena. From beginner skating to advanced hockey, we offer a variety of programs for preschool-aged children to adults.
The Weightroom contains a variety of cardio equipment such as treadmills, elliptical trainers, steppers and bikes as well as a range of strength-training equipment from cabled machines to free weights.
Oak Bay Recreation Centre features two swimming pools: the main pool and the small pool, along with a hot tub, sauna, and steam room. The main pool is an eight-lane, 25-metre pool maintained at 28.3°C/83°F, offering amenities such as waterslides, a basketball hoop, a climbing wall, and a rope swing. The small pool is maintained at 34.4°C/94°F, designed for leisure and relaxation, and includes water features and a children’s slide. Both pools utilize UV disinfection systems. Additionally, there is a hot tub maintained at 40°C/104°F accessible during public swimming hours, and the sauna and steam room are available daily.
Experience the thrill of outdoor sports in the comfort of indoors at Oak Bay Recreation’s Indoor Sports Field. Our sprawling 11,000 square foot facility (83′ x 150′) is fitted with Fieldturf™, a state-of-the-art synthetic surface that mirrors the look and feel of real grass. Woven with long strands of synthetic fibers and filled with a unique blend of silica and ground rubber, the turf offers a weather-proof sporting experience. Whether you’re into soccer, field hockey, or baseball, our indoor turf is the perfect place to play your favorite sports without worrying about the weather. The Sports View Lounge, located within the Oak Bay Recreation Centre, serves a diverse range of meals, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and baked goods. You’re invited to enjoy your meal while taking in views of the pool, the indoor sports field, and the arena. In favorable weather conditions, you have the option to dine outdoors on our patio. The Lounge is also licensed! Conveniently located on the second floor of the Oak Bay Recreation Centre, just opposite the Weightroom, the Sports View Lounge is ready to enhance your recreational experience with our delicious offerings.
Explore our seven hard-court tennis courts situated on the grounds of the Oak Bay Recreation Centre. Our facility includes a four-court bubble located at the end of the Bee Street parking lot and a three-court bubble at the end of Goldsmith Street. These courts serve as a central location for child, youth, and adult lessons, private lessons and court rentals. Please be aware that access to these courts is available exclusively through rental or program registration.
Parking
Parking is available off Bee Street in the lower and upper lots. There is also parking available at the end of Goldsmith Street. Parking in these lots is up to a maximum of 4 hours for patrons actively using the facilities. All street parking has a 2-hour by-law enforced limit.
