Oak Bay Parks has implemented programs to preserve trees within the municipality, aligning with the District’s Urban Forest Management Strategy.

You can keep hens (female chickens) on your property, but not roosters. This guide is here to help you raise hens responsibly and keep good relations with neighbours.

Tree Work Application Permit

No protected tree shall be cut down or damaged unless authorized by:

  1. a permit issued by the Municipal Arborist under this Bylaw; or
  2. development permit issued by the Municipality.
