Welcome to the Henderson Recreation Centre

Henderson Recreation Centre serves as a social, recreational and fitness community hub for patrons of all ages and demographics. The Centre is home to a full gymnasium, weightroom, recreation rooms and a large park area. Offering a diverse range of activities, including children’s programs, indoor court rentals, adult exercise classes, and golf.

Henderson Recreation Centre sits on a large, developed park with many other amenities, including tennis courts, playing fields, a Par-3 golf course and a jogging chip trail with an outdoor fitness circuit.

Community Park & Chip Trail

Open year-round, the scenic 1.1km chip trail and Seniors Community Park surrounds Henderson Park Par-3 Golf Course. The chip trail features the outdoor fitness circuit that includes fourteen outdoor fitness stations. While designed for adults aged 55 and up, users of all ages and abilities can enjoy the outdoor fitness circuit. No dogs or bikes are allowed on the chip trail.

Weightroom

The Weightroom contains a variety of cardio equipment such as treadmills, elliptical trainers, steppers and bikes as well as a range of strength-training equipment from cabled machines to free weights.

Henderson Par-3 Golf Course

Henderson Park Par-3 Golf Course is ideal for families, beginners or those who want to practice their short game. Nestled in a beautiful tree-lined setting, the course provides a challenge to beginners and more experienced golfers alike.

Sports Fields

There is a variety of sports fields, including baseball and soccer fields near Henderson Recreation Centre. Organized field use is by permit only. Casual, non-organized use is allowed during times when the fields are not used by permit holders or closed for maintenance. The fields are closed for maintenance at various times of the year. Dogs must be on a leash at all times.

Tennis Courts (Outdoor)

Play on our six hard-court outdoor tennis courts situated on the grounds of the Henderson Recreation Centre. Our facility features six outdoor courts, three are equipped with lighting for evening matches. These courts operate on a reservation system from April 1 through October 31 annually.

Parking

Parking is available between the tennis courts and the recreation centre building. Parking in the lot is up to a maximum of 3 hours for patrons actively using the facilities. There are also a limited number of parking spots available just off Arden Road, beside the Henderson Park Playground.
