All dogs over the age of four months must have an Oak Bay dog licence every year with the District of Oak Bay.
An Oak Bay dog licence helps protect your pet with an easy-to-identify dog tag and registration with our animal contractor, Victoria Animal Control Services Ltd.
Purchase your dog’s licence online with Visa or Mastercard. Once payment is confirmed, we will issue your pet a dog tag and mail it to you.
Dog Licensing Costs
Before February 1
- Spayed or neutered dogs: $39.00
- Non-spayed or non-neutered dogs until February 1: $55.00
After February 1
- Spayed or neutered dogs: $44.00
- Non-spayed or non-neutered dogs: $60.00
- You must provide proof of spaying or neutering to receive the discounted licence rate.
