Subscribe for Oak Bay Alerts
The District’s free alerting service delivers critical and potentially life-saving alerts to residents who have registered. This information can help you and your family know what to do, where to go, and what to expect.
This alert system is optional, and you will only receive notifications if you subscribe. These notification systems will send alerts for public safety incidents that include:
- Earthquakes
- Wildfires
- Tsunami alerts
- Evacuation notices.
On occasion you may receive a test notification through routine system tests. Residents are encouraged to sign-up to receive community-specific emergency alerts by phone text or email.

Sign up today to receive Oak Bay Alerts on the Alertable App, or via phone calls, text messages or email.
Please note that the Provincial and Federal Governments maintain their own alert system called Alert Ready. Alerts through this system will take precedence over any notifications sent over local alerting notification systems.
