About the Talk:

About Brian Minter:
Brian Minter is a graduate of the University of British Columbia and a Master Gardener. With extensive experience in garden centers and display gardens, he has become BC's foremost gardening expert. Brian has hosted numerous radio and TV shows, writes a popular gardening column, and authored the Canadian bestseller "Brian Minter's New Gardening Guide - Fresh Approaches for Canadian Gardeners."

Brian has received prestigious awards including the Order of Canada and the Order of British Columbia. He holds an Honorary Doctorate of Technology and has been recognized with an Award of Merit from the Perennial Plant Association. Brian is a sought-after speaker for industry and gardening groups and has served on various community boards, including as past Chancellor of the University of the Fraser Valley. He is also a frequent contributor to The Vancouver Sun and several Black Press papers in the Fraser Valley, and appears on CBC Radio (BC Almanac) every other Friday at 12:30 PM.
