This month’s Friends of Uplands Park bird walk is taking place on Sunday, August 25th. They meet in the main parking lot at Cattle Point at 9:00am. At this time of year, Uplands Park is a great place to see flocks of Cedar Waxwings, Band-tailed Pigeons, Western Tanagers, Warbling Vireos, and many other migrants. Native plants like the Cascara, Black Hawthorne, and Red Osier Dogwood provide these birds with a berry buffet.
