A New Playground is on the Way! 

Windsor Park Playground will close starting Monday September 16, 2024 to allow for the installation of new playground equipment. 

The District of Oak Bay is embarking on a playground equipment replacement program to enhance the playgrounds within our Parks system over the next five-plus years. Windsor Park Playground will be the second playground to be re-done.  

During the Council Meeting on July 8, 2024, a contract was awarded for the replacement of the playground equipment at Windsor Park. 

This decision followed a survey where design option 2 received the most public support and has been selected for installation. 

The removal and excavation of the existing Windsor playground will begin on September 16, 2024, with the installation of the new playground expected to be completed by the end of October 2024.
