Paddington Station Daycare is a Licensed full-day daycare for children aged three to five, which is held in a purpose-built daycare space located in the Neighbourhood Learning Centre. This program boasts a play-based learning philosophy as well as nurturing, enthusiastic, and qualified Early Childhood Educators.

Paddington Station has a maximum of 25 spaces, with a staff-to-child ratio of 1:8.

Monday to Friday: 7:30am-5:30pm

Willows Elementary School students only.

Children in the Before School Care program enjoy a variety of games, crafts, and activities before being transported to school in the departmental vehicle.

Program Location:

The program follows the school calendar.

The program does not operate on statutory holidays, Pro-D Days, and other school closure days.

Once registered in a Licensed Childcare Program, families can contact Erin McLean in the Accounts Department to assist in completing the Child Care Arrangement Form (CF2798) provided by the Provincial Government.

Please note: Families are responsible for payment of the full fee amount until Oak Bay Parks, Recreation, and Culture receives the approval letter in the mail from the Provincial Government. Due to processing time, this letter is often not received until after the child has started care. Once the approval letter has been received, families will be refunded the designated amount.

Working with families, the Supported Child Development Program provides consultation, extra staffing supports and staff training to childcare providers. Oak Bay Parks, Recreation and Culture partners with the Supported Child Development and provides in-house Inclusion Instructors to support children who are eligible for funding and are registered in programs as Preschool, Daycare, Before/After School Care, and Camps.
