Annoucement: Director of Engineering Services

The District of Oak Bay is pleased to announce that Mr. Daniel Horan will assume the role of Director of Engineering Services for the District of Oak Bay effective June 13, 2016.

Mr. Horan is a Professional Engineer with 15 years’ experience with the Royal Canadian Navy, in a variety of engineering and leadership roles.  Mr. Horan has experience leading and managing a large group of professionals, and most recently he was the Operations Manager for the Pacific Navy’s Fleet Maintenance Facility where he managed the full spectrum of engineering and maintenance activities, and led a team of 58 civilian and military program managers, project leaders, planners and schedulers. He has extensive experience in strategic planning and project management.

The position became vacant as a result of Mr. David Marshall retiring at the end of December, 2015.
