Oak Bay Director of Corporate Services

Oak Bay Chief Administrative Officer Lou Varela announced that Ms. Deb Hopkins will be assuming the role of Director of Corporate Services at the District of Oak Bay effective July 2, 2019. “In her role as Deputy Director of Corporate Services, Ms. Hopkins has proven herself to be an unwavering resource to our Mayor and Council, our leadership team, and our organization as a whole.  I’m thrilled to continue working with Deb in her new capacity as a Director”, said Ms. Varela.

“Since joining the District last year, and having served as the Chief Election Officer for the 2018 elections, I have been privileged to experience the high level of community engagement and commitment of Oak Bay citizens, a characteristic that makes this a truly exciting opportunity,” said Ms. Hopkins.

Ms. Hopkins has over 18 years of local government experience having previously worked with the District of Saanich, and most recently as the Deputy Director of Corporate Services with the District of Oak Bay. She holds a Master’s Degree in Professional Communication.
