Under the Community Charter, public notice is to be provided for any proposed amendment to the bylaw governing the procedures to be followed by the Municipal Council for the conduct of its business.

Notice is hereby provided that at the regular meeting scheduled for December 7, 2015, at 7:30 p.m., Oak Bay Council will consider the adoption of an amendment to its Procedure Bylaw to incorporate:

• New Council meeting start time of 7:00 p.m. (currently 7:30 p.m.)
• New adjournment time of 10:30 p.m. (currently 11:00 p.m.)
• Deadline for submissions from the public changed to 4:30 p.m. on the Wednesday prior to a meeting from the current Thursday prior to a meeting
• Amended reference to Robert's Rules of Order
• Deleted prohibition on electronic participation at closed (in camera) meetings of Council by members of Council
• Re-numbered Public Participation Period regulations

These amendments would be made by Bylaw No. 4657, Procedure Bylaw Amendment Bylaw, 2015, which is available for inspection between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday, excluding holidays, at the office of the Municipal Clerk, Oak Bay Municipal Hall, 2167 Oak Bay Avenue, Victoria, BC.
