District of Oak Bay launches 2021 Budget Questionnaire
The District of Oak Bay is excited to launch its 2021 budget questionnaire.
The District of Oak Bay Council will soon be deliberating on 2021-2025 operating and capital budgets. Once approved, the budgets provide the funds necessary to deliver community services and maintain infrastructure. Community input informs Council’s budget deliberations. To this end, the District invites feedback on service levels, Council Priorities, and the District’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Residents can provide budget input through an online questionnaire available at www.connect.oakbay.ca. Paper copies are available at Oak Bay Recreation Centre, Henderson Recreation Centre, and Monterey Recreation Centre.
“This a great opportunity for the community to let Council know what levels of service and project priorities they prefer,” said Mayor Kevin Murdoch. “We encourage residents to take a moment, especially in these times of fiscal challenges resulting from COVID, to provide their valuable feedback which will inform Council’s upcoming budget deliberations.”
The budget questionnaire will be open until November 30, 2020.
Results of the questionnaire will be reported to Council in early 2021 prior to budget discussions and will be shared with the public.
Anyone who requires assistance with the questionnaire is encouraged to contact the District by phone at 250-598-3311 or by email at communications@oakbay.ca.
