The District of Oak Bay is pleased to announce that it has received a $30,000 grant under the Union of British Columbia Municipalities (UBCM) Housing Needs Report Program.

Provincial requirements that came into effect April 16, 2019 require local governments in British Columbia to complete a housing needs report by April 2022 and every five years thereafter.  The report will help the District of Oak Bay recognize the current and projected housing needs within the community and inform future housing options.

The Ministry of Municipal Affairs & Housing has confirmed $5 million over three years for UBCM’s Housing Needs Report Program.
