To Residents Of Granite Street, Mitchell Street, Hampshire Road and Monteray Avenue living in the vacinity of Oak Bay Avenue

Residents are hereby advised that Oak Bay Municipal Council has authorized the following road closures:

• Oak Bay Avenue between Hampshire Road and Newport Avenue, on Sunday, May 29, 2016 from approximately 6:00 AM until 12:00 PM. The closure has been approved to facilitate the staging of a half marathon and relay organized by Frontrunners Athletic Club, which starts at 8:00 a.m. (early start 7:00 a.m.). Although the approved closure is as listed above, the main staging area for this event has been relocated to the area adjacent to Windsor Park and it is anticipated that the actual required time for this closure will be under an hour.
• Oak Bay Avenue between Hampshire Road and Newport Avenue, on Saturday, June 4, 2016 from approximately 8 AM until 12 noon. The closure has been approved to facilitate the staging of a parade organized by the Oak Bay Tea Party Society.
• Oak Bay Avenue between Wilmot Place and Monterey Avenue from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Wednesday, June 8, 2016, Wednesday, July 13, 2016, Wednesday, August 10, 2016 and September 14, 2016. This has been approved to facilitate the Oak Bay Business Improvement Association's staging of the Oak Bay Village Night Market.
• Oak Bay Avenue between Mitchell Street and Monterey Avenue, on Sunday, August 7, 2016 from approximately 8 AM until 4 PM. The closure has been approved to facilitate the staging of the Oak Bay Collector Car Show.

During the time of the closures, traffic from Oak Bay Avenue will be re-routed along Mitchell Street, Granite Street, Hampshire Road, Brighton Avenue and Monterey Avenue.
