Water Main Break - South Oak Bay

This morning at 9:57 a.m. a twelve inch water main on Margate Street in Oak Bay ruptured. Public Works and the Fire Department responded immediately to the incident and stopped the water flow as quickly as possible. Some properties have been impacted by water damage. Oak Bay crews are on scene making repairs and assisting impacted properties.  Margate Street between Newport Avenue and Beach Drive will be closed until further notice and the intersection of Deal Street and Margate Street is currently closed.
