The home of the Honourable Thomas Paterson, Lieutenant Governor from 1909 to 1914.  Built in 1914 for $25,000.  Designed by H.S. Griffith in an adapted Mission Revival style.  Spectacular views of the waterfront and Mt Baker from the house formed the cover of the Uplands promotional booklet.
