Part of the Peter Mckechnie photo collection documenting the construction of1069 Beach Drive during 1912 to 1913. Stones were used for  the construction of the waterfront retaining wall.  In the background the CPR Princess liner heads toward Victoria Harbour between Oak Bay and Discovery and Chatham Islands. Small CPR owned passenger liners known as the Princess ships serviced the "Triangle run" between Vancouver, Victoria and Seattle.  see also 1994-049-017
