2015 Property Taxes - Due July 2, 2015
Property tax notices have been mailed. If you have not received your 2015 tax notice, please contact the Oak Bay Municipal Tax Office at 250-598-3311.
Payments must be received in the Municipal Hall at 2167 Oak Bay Avenue by July 2, 2015 or earlier to avoid penalty. All unpaid 2015 taxes (including unclaimed home owner grants) are subject to a 10% penalty after July 2, 2015. Cheques post-dated to July 2, 2015 will be accepted in advance.
Eligible taxpayers are urged to apply for their Home Owner Grant as soon as they receive their tax notice. It is not necessary to make a payment in order to claim the grant. You are able to claim your home owner grant online.
Taxes may also be paid in person or by online banking. Check with your financial institution. NOTE: Your completed home owner grant application must be received at the Municipal Hall by July 2, 2015 in order to avoid penalty on the home owner grant amount.
Completed home owner grant applications and payments by cheque or money order may also be delivered by way of a mail slot at the left of the front door of the Municipal Hall.
